The significance of the national calendar was once again acknowledged in the Indian Independence movement. On 1st August 1947, the very first National Calendar Bill was passed in the Constituency Assembly. The whole process was a continuous one and the federal government lastly launched the brand-new nationwide calendar on 7th December 1947.
